In Hsinchu City, Taiwan, Prof. Tim St Pierre presented his IEEE Distinguished Lecture at the ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) and National Tsing Hua University. ITRI is a non-profit centre for research and development. The exciting work at this organisation focusses on innovation and next-generation technology.
At National Tsing Hua University Tim met with Prof. Chih-Huang Lai, who leads the Advance Storage and Energy Lab and is the Chair of the Taiwan Chapter of the IEEE Magnetics Society. Tim also met with Professors Mei-Feng Lai and Zung-Hang Wei. Their respective groups work on nano- and bio- systems, for example magnetic manipulation of biomolecules and nano-biosensors.
